The competition will proceed in this way:
Group stage with matches against every other team of the group;
The first two teams of every group will accede to the semifinals;
Final phase with direct confrontations and eliminations.
The team is composed of: 1 director, 1 coach and max. 4 athletes (men or women) born from 2004 to 2000.
The matches will proceed with a relay system:
Individual matches until 8 points;
Couple matches until 16 points;
Triad matches until 24 points.
A warm up of 10 minutes (with draw) is granted for every team.
The coach is allowed to ask to the referee to time-outs of two minutes in every match.
In the event of a tie between two or more teams, the following criteria will stand:
Direct confrontation result;
Points difference;
In case of another tie after these criteria, the players will proceed with a shot over the cue ball (see FIB rules).
The athletes are allowed to be part of only one Committee team during the entire tournament.
If a team is absent when supposed to be playing a match, the other team will be assigned 24 points for the winning.
Any disputes will be competence of: 1) the match Referee; 2) the field Commissioner; 3) the game Director, who has the possibility of taking any necessary initiative in order of keeping a normal progress of the game, in collaboration with the organizing Committee.
Final phase rules:
4 teams will proceed to the final phase: the first team of a group will play against the second team of the other group.
The matches will have a direct elimination with the same game system of the group stage.
The losing teams of the two semifinals will play against each other to compete for the 3rd place.
– A player is allowed to play only in two phases.
– It is allowed to make substitutions in every moment.
